We handled space design, the creation of custom-made furniture, and construction for the beauty salon "hair works RW" in Nihonbashi.
We emphasized their new identity as a store while retaining the atmosphere of the old store.
We replaced the existing staircase with a new, custom-built staircase we designed with gentle steps that are easy for men and women of all ages to use.
In the beauty salon space, we aimed to create a space that would never get old using linear elements like the cut surfaces, custom-made storage, and lighting, while also adding accents using curved elements such as the mirrors and chairs.
In addition, partially removing the existing ceiling made it an open space that doesn't feel oppressive, and we worked to create a beautiful balance between the custom-made lighting and the details of the existing building.
The beauty salon is on the second floor, and there's a nail salon on the first floor.

日本橋にある美容室「hair works RW」の空間デザイン、特注家具、施工を担当しました。
旧店舗の雰囲気を残しながらも、新しい店舗としてのアイデンティティを大切にしました。
既存の階段を撤去し、新しく特注制作された階段は、緩やかなステップで老若男女問わず利用しやすいデザインとなっています。
美容室スペースはカット面や特注収納、照明で直線要素を、ミラーやチェアなどの曲線要素でアクセントを入れて飽きのない空間作りを目指しました。
また既存の天井を一部解体することで、圧迫感のない開放的な空間となっており、特注照明と既存建物のディティールとのバランスが綺麗な収まりになるように工夫しました。
2Fが美容室、1Fはネイルサロンが併設されています。
